I sent in 13 neglected tshirts to be turned into baskets and Seki did an incredible job- she even sent me photo updates every week! I told her which shirts I'd like paired for each differently-size basket, but she made artistic decisions with the color/yarn distribution that resulted in really cool effects and the baskets coming out even more incredible than I could imagine. I'm so happy to have my shirts back but in a different form!

I have been using some of my tools since I was in grade school.
Making T-shirt yarn is time consuming part.
Thimbles made from preowned leather bags and jackets.
My crochet tote bag is in 'BIG HOOK RAG CROCHET".
Most of my shipping supplies are recycled ones, including envelopes and bags.

Upcycling / Transforming into New Creation

Hello! I create bags, baskets, leather items, cards and more, using pre-owned items and materials.

My creativity started when I was a kid, making barbie doll outfits from a variety of materials and taking photos for her. I always love making stuff by hand.

During the time I directed TV programs in Tokyo and New York, I was inspired by many amazing people who pursued their goals. As my lifestyle changed as a mother, now is the time to achieve my dream: (1) spreading ideas of fixing, mending and reusing and (2) creating and selling upcycled bags etc.

Raised in Japan with a "waste nothing" sensibility and trained in leather work and kimono etiquette, I really enjoy creating bags, baskets, and other accessories from pre-owned items (e.g. leather jackets, leather skirts, T-shirts, vintage kimonos). Because even no-longer-useful-in-one-shape items are great materials for something else and they give me a lot of inspiration! I love to see how things can be changed into something totally different.

With used and some new materials, I make my bags, baskets, and accessories DURABLE and PRACTICAL.

All used materials are WASHED and CLEANED carefully, and my products are created in a non-smoking environment.
