Painting is not just what I do, it is who I am.
This artist uses the style of abstract painting as a coping mechanism for his own personal growth, while also systematically helping viewers to use the piece as insight into their own inner workings. The abstract nature of his work lends itself a format allowing viewers to project their own thoughts and emotions onto the piece, adding layers of complexity within the various personal interpretations. In this way, the pieces become exponentially more successful the more they are attempted to be understood, and could be said to not be finished until they are displayed for public consumption.
I started painting three years ago as a form of regulation. I had injured my back and was spending a lot of time recuperating with nothing to do, so painting helped me not only fill my spare time, but also give me something to enjoy that made the injury less debilitating. I have continued painting to have a creative outlet and give me a productive form of recreation. I created this etsy shop not only to share what I have painted, but also to meet like-minded individuals. I paint to remember, to forget, to learn, and to understand myself and the world around me.
