Making Art Accessible
Art is a funny thing. Good or bad, if you grow up around it - whether it's hanging in the hallway or bedroom, something someone special made for you or from the hand of a stranger - it becomes a part of your daily experience.
Over time you may even wonder why you keep hanging on to it, especially if it's not a particularly interesting piece. More often, the reason is because it's become more than just a piece of decor, it's become a part of your life. A reminder of a time when, a witness to life's events, a companion.
In addition to offering the pieces that I produce from my own personal experiences, I offer paintings on commission specific to other peoples experiences - to memorialize a place or event that may have particular meaning to them. Done in my style, it's a way to make art of immediate value accessible without breaking the bank, that tells a more meaningful story to its owner. One beyond the artists experience to encompass their own (your own) personal journey.
And I offer this for the same cost you see here with my own 8" x 10" paintings.
How does it work? I don't 'copy' photos but I do reference them often in my work, especially when I can't get on location to paint as often as I would like. Simply send me a digital photo that you take (or have permission to use) and I will create something special for you.
