In The beginning

At a very young age the seed of blacksmithing was planted into my life. Some of my earliest memories involve turning on the blower to the old buffalo forge at my grandfathers house and trying to swing a hammer that was much to heavy for me. Getting older and learning I could become a 9th generation smith fueled the fire I had to continue my education on the craft. November 2019 dreams became a reality and I opened a shop with one of my best friends with the aim to spread the craft and build a culture for others to learn as I did.

I think most everybody had a moment as a child when they looked up to somebody they were close to and wanted to be just like them. For me I would play with toy tools and dress in my dads work uniform swearing up and down that I would work on HVAC units just like him. Turns out that wasn't meant to be, as time went on I figured out I had absolutely no clue what I wanted to do. To keep a long story short I met this guy in high school who liked to swing hammers at a hard steel block a lot. We graduated high school and brought our collective lost minds together and formed a business with the ultimate goal to build a beautiful blacksmithing culture and spread knowledge to anybody who would listen.
The Business
November 2019 we formed a business and a bond with the hopes we could find a place in this life. Formerly "The Olden Nordic Forge" we switched to " Seven Shields Forge" with growth in mind and passion to be more true to ourselves.
