Sewing is great therapy and I'm heavily involved in weekly therapy sessions!!
I love to sew! My mother began teaching me when I was about 8 years old. The first thing we made was a doll quilt. When my kids were younger, Mom and I would shop for fabric and patterns, go to her house and I would begin by cutting the first project out. Then she would begin to sew that one, while I cut out the next one. I would hand sew buttons and hems while she continued to sew each of the next projects. We were a great team! The empty nest hit me hard, since I had homeschooled all my kids, so I began to teach sewing to some of the kids of my homeschooling friends. I branched out into quilting classes with adults. Then in 2006, someone mentioned that they wished they could come to my classes, but they lived too far away. I began to tell people about the great sewing books I had discovered in teaching my classes. The next step was to become a vendor at homeschool curriculum shows and quilt shows. I do about 12-15 shows a year, featuring the greatest in sewing and quilting books, patterns, kits, and notions. I have so much fun!!
My CEO is my husband, Mark, (that stands for Carry Everything Out!) He loads up my van and unloads it, more times than he cares to admit!
I love shipping fabric, books, and kits to my ETSY customers! Thank you so much for your support! I hope to continue for many years.
