4 out of 5 starsThese patterns are not for beginners unless you are adept at appliqué. They are very cute but unfortunately beyond my skill level. If you are an experienced sewer I would go for it.

Hi Susanne, If you're not feeling confident with applique, I hope you'll try some of the projects that don't involve applique, like the kippah, tallit, and hand washing towel. Also, for projects like the challah cover and Passover matzah cover that do include appliques, you could start with a decorative fabric and leave off the appliques, letting the fabric itself provide the design, as an option. - Maria
