A long time ago, a VERY long time ago, I cut some fabric, pushed it through a sewing machine, and the rest, as they say, is history. I've been sewing for as long as I can remember...suits, pant suits, dresses, skirts and blouses. Fancy & plain, you name it.
Then one day, we were at a craft show, and we were absolutely mesmerized by a computerized embroidery machine. Whaaaa?? You can do that by machine? SOLD!, the man said, wrap that baby up! Whaaaa??? You want to spend HOW much on a sewing machine? Ha, little did I know, that machine was only the START! Then there was thread, and stabilizer, and more thread, 'cuz, you know, you have 100 colors, but not the right one. 100 morphs into 200, then 300, then 400, now you're up to 500, but the customer always wants one you just don't have. Could it be an obsession? (ummm, ok, maybe...)
Then one day, a new friend said, hey, ya know what? You can sew, you can quilt. Umm...maybe I can sew, but I can't do math, I replied. Oh, but look, you just cut it here, sew it there, and presto, you have a quilt! And so I began my foray into quilting.
Now, I'm combining my love of sewing, quilting and embroidery, and making beautiful treasures for you to give or get. I love being able to create something that will be proudly gifted or kept and treasured for years to come.
