I go by my nickname, Rajendora, in the Ball Joint Doll hobby...fandom...obsession?
For years, I ran a custom design, patterning, tailoring and sewing business for humans. I've made everything from specialized handi-wear to fantasy wedding clothes. I enjoy designing, patterning and sewing for Ball Joint Dolls(aka BJDs). It's the perfect hobby for someone like me, born with the creative overload gene. The range for artistry and design for these beautifully made dolls in 1/4 and 1/3 scale is just a delight. Working with ball joint dolls allows me to do the intensely couture boutique work that was the whole reason for my majoring in Fashion. Embroidery, bead work, applique, quilting, hat making, anything that strikes me as inspiration when I see a piece of fabric, lends itself to this hobby. And, if I'm not careful, things will begin to pile up!
Naturally, I want to share my work with others and offer something unique to doll owners. There are a lot of great doll clothing makers and companies out there; but just as when we are shopping for ourselves, and wondering why we can't find what we want in our size, our style, our color...our dolls have the same challenge. That's why I sew for my own dolls. That's why I would like to sew for your dolls.
And now that I'm sewing for people again, I'm looking for customers who want clothing that is just as fun; vintage reproduction, sci-fi, you name it! ^_^
