We have been building quality hand crafted furniture, millwork, and cabinetry for many years, and have had the pleasure to work with such an amazing community of Etsy customers to make long lasting furniture and home decor that is both of standard designs and custom work to fit specific needs. Over the past year our business has taken off and we are so blessed to have such great marketplace and customers that appreciate quality work that is Made in America.

From raw wood to being packaged for shipment, our work is made by hand with love and care for each and every order. As a husband and wife team, we know that it is hard to find precisely what you need within the limitations of retail stores. Everyone has a home that is decorated and configured differently. Welcome to Sheldon Woodworks. We create architectural woodwork and craft products both custom and stock from solid wood and sheet good products. Our products are natural and can be finished as preferred by the customer. If you can imagine it, we can create it, thanks to the help of modern woodworking machinery and our cnc router. Any of our products can be altered and modified to fit your needs, whether it is the color, type of material, or wood species or even the geometry.

Returns and exchanges
Because all of our products are made to order, we do not offer refunds on orders. All of our listings have dimensions of our products, so please plan ahead before ordering. If you don't see something that fits your space please contact us, we do a lot of custom work!

If we make a mistake and it is on our part for any order, we will always be sure to fix it and get it right. If you order and change your mind please inform us as soon as possible. If you contact us prior to producing the item(s) we will happily alter orders, or refund you in full if you want to cancel.
Payment
Accepting PayPal payments and credit card payments (Discover, Visa, Mastercard, AMEX) via PayPal, as well as Etsy's Direct Checkout. We accept checks and money orders via mail too, but the order will be delayed until the payment clears.
Shipping
Since the lead time of our products vary, please refer to the listing and or order receipt for expected ship-by date. For simple products like our wood blocks, we typically ship within 1-3 days, and for our wall mail organizers the lead time is from 4-6 weeks when we things are normal and 5-7 weeks when the work picks up. As always we strive to help people meet a ship date, so if you have any concerns about getting a gift to someone on time or need something sooner, email us as we try to accommodate everyone.

We ship UPS and USPS and strive to achieve the best shipping rates possible to lower the cost for our customers. Please email us with your zip code for accurate shipping quotes as Etsy only allows us to have one shipping rate per zone and per product listing. This means we have to charge a higher end shipping rate so that we do not lose money on orders shipping cross country. If you checked out already, send us a message and we can apply a credit to your order accordingly.

How long will my order take to ship out, and receive it?

Please refer to the shipping tab on the listing where you will find the exact leadtime for that specific listing.

In general, our wall organizers take approximately 4-6 weeks to ship out. Our mailboxes and smaller items ship out in 2-3 weeks, and any of our wood parts like wood blocks ship in 1-3 days.

Transit times can vary by your location, but typically the east coast is 1-3 days, and mid-west to west coast is 3-4 days priority mail (USPS) and 5-7 parcel select or UPS ground. International ship times vary by country, Canada is about 7 business days.

Custom and personalized orders

Absolutely! We can swap items around, add or remove items, or work up a layout that is completely custom to your space. More than 50% of the work that leaves our shop is completely custom, or an iteration similar to one of our products that works better for the customer's space.

We can also personalize all of our products and all of our lettering is hand painted with the same option of colors as our products. For any listings that aren't personalized please send us a message before ordering so that we can setup a custom listing for you.

Why does it take several weeks to ship out?

All of our products are built from rough-sawn lumber sourced from local mills. Each and every board is straightened and milled by hand and from the raw wood to being hand sanded and finished, it's a very labor intensive and time consuming process. In order to build quality products using proper joinery and methods, it takes a lot of effort and time to get to your finished piece. We strive to always make major events and special dates, please send us a message if you need something by a specific date as we will always make it if our production schedule allows.

I don't see a color I like, can you do any custom color?

We do a lot of custom colors for customers. If one of our standard colors or finishes is not what you are looking for please contact us prior to purchasing. We can match any Benjamin Moore, Sherwin Williams, Behr or standard paints for only the fee of a quart of paint. We use mostly Benjamin Moore as they make some of the highest quality paints. All we need is their color number to ensure a good match.
