Shop Policies for Shelf Life Finds
Welcome to my consignment and vintage shop! Please take a moment to review the following policies to ensure a smooth shopping experience.
Shipping Policies
I offer free shipping to the continental United States.
For international shipping, I am happy to accommodate requests—please message me directly. I will provide a shipping estimate for your approval before finalizing the transaction.
Consignment Sales
- ShelfLife retains a 30% commission of the listing price on all consignment sales.
- Selling fees and shipping costs are deducted from the client’s portion of the sales proceeds.
- Selling price is initially determined by ShelfLife with input from the consignor. Typically we price items 30 to 50% below their retail value depending on their condition, although pricing may vary.
- After three months, all pricing decisions are solely made by ShelfLife. Typically, after three months an item is placed on sale to create new space for inventory.
- When ShelfLife is running a sale or promotion, this will include consignment items no matter how long they have been listed. The commission delegated to ShelfLife will reflect the original price.
- Consigned items that haven't sold after 150 days (5 months) become property of ShelfLife and may be donated to local nonprofit organizations. It is your responsibility to keep track of your unsold consigned items. If you don't want your items to sell at a discounted price or get donated please pick them up from us at the appropriate time!
- Payouts occur monthly. They can be done via electronically or in cash. Clients can request to see records of sales at anytime. ShelfLife is responsible for recording all sale information.
- ShelfLife is not responsible for items that are stolen or damaged due to natural disaster or fire.
Preloved and Vintage Items
- All items in my shop are preloved and vintage, which means they may have character, charm, and evidence of previous use.
- Please review all photos and read the descriptions carefully before purchasing. I strive to provide accurate details and images of every item.
Returns & Customer Satisfaction
- I typically do not accept returns via Etsy. However, your satisfaction is very important to me. If you have any concerns about your order, please reach out to me directly, and I will do my best to make things right.
Interest-Free Layaway
- I am happy to offer interest-free layaway for your convenience. Please message me to set up a custom payment plan and direct link to pay in installments.

- I am not a certified antique dealer, appraiser, or art dealer. Instead, I am a self-taught vintage and antique enthusiast who loves uncovering hidden treasures.
- As a Georgia state-certified librarian, I use my archival and research skills to assess each item carefully. All listings reflect my good-faith estimates of value, origin, and age.
