Crocheting for a cure!
Hello, I am Casey the owner of Shelly's Sea Creatures. My mom, Michelle, aka where the name Shelly came from, inspired me to start crocheting. In 2015, my mom and I went to Florida for a family vacation and we got to experience a once in a lifetime thing, where we saved sea turtles by guiding them to the ocean. Ever since, my mom has been obsessed with sea turtles.
My mom was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer a few years ago, which has spread to her bones and liver. She needed to stop working recently due to her illness and being fatigue. Long story short, she wanted to pick up a hobby of crocheting, but due to her vision not being good, she wasn't able to do the crochet. I felt motivated to learn by watching videos on Youtube to do crochet. I wanted to start selling my products online to be able to donate some of the proceeds to the Pink Clover Foundation. Each item I sell, I will be donating a dollar to the foundation.
My mom is a big part of my life and if I can do something as little as this to help for cancer research, why not!
