About

Meet the Maker Behind Shh! Maker Design

Hello! I'm Amanda Shoemaker, and I live in a sandbox, better known as Phoenix, Arizona, with my wonderful husband and two pomeranian pups.

With a vision of creating beautiful designs that reflect my personal style and design strengths, in 2012, I left my full-time job and coveted Art Director title behind, and set out to imagine a company that would allow me do just that. I soon created Shh! Maker Design and jumped head first into the world of digital goods without looking back.

Shh! Maker Design provides handmade high-quality graphic resources for designers and savvy makers. Specializing in digital illustrations and patterns that can be used for just about anything from blogs and websites to crafts and scrapbooking projects.

I hope to evoke a sense of nostalgia and inspire others with each of my cheerfully handmade and vintage-inspired designs. My approach is simple: I only create well thought-out, highly detailed, beautiful graphics that I would use myself.

It is my goal to set Shh! Maker Design apart from the rest with my whimsical designs, attention to detail, and exceptional customer service.
I’m doing what I love, and though it’s been exciting watching the company grow, it’s even more gratifying to see the wonderful things others are making with my designs. I hope to see the company continue to grow, and I'm looking forward to what the future holds.

Frequently asked questions

What if I can't find or am experiancing technical issues with my Digital Downloads?

After purchasing a digital file, you’ll see a "View your files" link which goes to the Downloads page. Here, you can download all the files associated with your order.

Downloads are available once your payment is confirmed. If you paid with PayPal or a credit card on Etsy, confirmation might take a few minutes.

Etsy also sends you a download notification email separate from any transaction notification emails you receive.

**Please note that you can't download a digital purchase through the Etsy app, or to your mobile device at this time. To download a digital file, please sign in to Etsy on your computer.

Still need help? Review the following: http://etsy.com/help/article/3949 & http://etsy.com/help/article/3991

What if I can't edit my Digital Download?

I recommend completely reading the products description prior to your purchase; paying close attention to the "File Type" and program requirements listed.

For example, a .EPS vector file, will require Adobe Illustrator for you to open and edit the design.

Do I need to purchase a License?

If you are using the purchased designs for Personal Use, you do not need to purchase a License.

However, if you are using the designs commercially (contract/client work or the end product is intended for sale) you will need to obtain licensing.

What is "Personal Use"?

Personal Use is defined as using the purchased designs in a manner that has no potential monetary gain (no money changes hands).

Personal Use projects cannot be related to any business, nonprofit, or other organization of any kind.

All purchased designs may be used in an unlimited number of Personal Use Projects.

Examples of Personal Use Projects:
- Creating a t-shirt for a family reunion
- Creating a birthday card that you send to a friend/family member
- Creating wall art as a gift
- Creating a personal notebook or calendar

What is "Commercial Use" & "End Product for Sale Use"?

Commercial Use is defined as any work that is not intended for Personal Use. Contract/Client work or if the end product is intended for sale - are both considered Commercial Use.

End Product for Sale Use is defined as a digital or physical item that you or your client intend to sell to more than one person.

When using designs intended for sale or commercially, you must obtain Licensing.
