At SHIBUI Print Studio, we create Japandi-inspired wall art designed to bring balance, softness, and atmosphere into your home. The kind of pieces that don’t shout, but quietly change how a room feels the moment you hang them.

We’re Roland and Carlien, also the creators behind Daring Dutch Designers. SHIBUI is our dedicated space for minimal, Japanese-inspired design and timeless interiors.

Our inspiration comes from Japan; from slow mornings, natural textures, and the beauty of simplicity done well. We turn those impressions into art that fits effortlessly into modern, calming spaces.

A little note that matters to us: all our designs are originally created by us, without the use of AI. Every piece starts from scratch and is carefully developed with intention and attention to detail.

How long will it take for my item to ship and how long will shipping take?

PROCESSING TIME
Generally, all orders will be processed and shipped within 2 to 5 business days. Once an item has shipped, you’ll be notified with the tracking information. Though we ask that you allow the full number of days for processing, many items will ship out sooner.

SHIPPING TIME
Shipment of your order will usually take 3-12 business days. Carriers require contact information to get in touch about the delivery time, please provide your phone number and e-mail at check-out. You can follow your order via the tracking information that you will receive per e-mail as soon as your package has been shipped.

At this time, we only offer standard shipping, see ‘shipping and returns’ for the estimated arrival of your print.

Where do we ship and what does it costs?

We offer FREE shipping on all orders, with no minimum purchase required.

To reduce delivery times and our environmental footprint, we work with local production partners and shipping carriers.

Because your artwork is produced and shipped locally, you don't have to worry about unexpected import duties or custom fees.

How are items shipped?

Our printing partners use as much as possible local shipping carriers.

POSTERS
All posters are carefully packed to ensure safe transport during shipping. Posters are shipped in triangular kraft boxes to ensure safe delivery and avoid using plastic caps. Smaller posters (8x10″) are shipped in stay-flat envelopes Orders fulfilled in Australia are packaged in cylinder cardboard tubes.

CANVAS PRINTS
All canvases are carefully packed to ensure they reach you in perfect condition.

What is your return/cancellation policy?

RETURNS
Due to all items being printed to order, we cannot, offer a refund or exchange. However, if you are not 100% satisfied with your items or your order arrived damaged in transit, please contact us via Etsy or e-mail (shibuiprintstudio@gmail.com) for assistance.

CANCELLATIONS
Products are automatically printed to order by our printing partner. If you realise you have made an error, please contact us via Etsy or e-mail (shibuiprintstudio@gmail.com) immediately, so that we can try to help. We cannot cancel or amend orders. This includes amending shipping addresses. We cannot be held responsible for an incorrect shipping address, though we do try to help where we can, when you contact us immediately.

My order arrived damaged, what to do?

First of all, sorry for the inconvenience. Please contact us via Etsy or e-mail (shibuiprintstudio@gmail.com) and send us (1) images of the damaged print(s) and (2) images of the packaging (damaged or undamaged). We are there to help!

I’ve made an error on my order, what to do?

Unfortunately, once you have placed your order, we cannot make any changes to it. But, please contact us immediately via Etsy or e-mail (shibuiprintstudio@gmail.com), we will do our best to help you.

How do sizes for triptych and diptych sets work?

The sizes listed for all triptych/three-piece and diptych/two-piece sets represent each of the three/two individual pieces that make up this triptych/diptych. So, for a triptych 12x16 inch print set, that means that each of the three pieces is 12x16 inch. If laid side-by-side they would measure 36 inches across.

Do you offer a framing option?

Yes, absolutely! In addition to our unframed posters, we also offer framed posters. Each framed product is professionally finished, so it's ready to hang. Explore the framing options here:

Also your favorite canvas can be delivered framed. It truly stands out with our handcrafted floater frames, designed from sustainably sourced oak or solid hardwood. Available in natural oak, white and black.

How do I frame my prints without damaging them?

We suggest to unpackage the prints and let them rest for a day or two in a safe place. Another option is to lay them flat and place a book on each end, please make sure to do so on a hard even surface to prevent any creases.

Will I be charged custom fees or import duties?

No! We work with trusted local print partners to produce and ship your order as close to you as possible, wo you won't have to worry about unexpected custom fees or import duties.

Posters are printed locally in the United States, United Kingdom, European Union, Australia and Canada.

Canvas prints are printed locally in the United States, United Kingdom, European Union and United Arab Emirates (Dubai).
