How Shimra Designs Was Born
Shimra Designs is my long life dream of designing and making beautiful and special items. I strive to make these items both uniqe and long lasting while keeping in mind the color combination and my customer's needs.
After working a few years as an economist in a consulting firm, I started thinking of making a change in my life by filling my everyday routine with what I love most: Fabric, Yarn & Paper. And so I began designing and making items and products for my friends, my family and myself. Finally, after giving birth to my third child, I was determined to make my dream a reality. This is how Shimra Designs was born.
In my little appartment studio, I design a variety of items: bags and purses, quilts and blankets, accessories and jewlery, notebooks and journals, wall decor and much more. When I picture the next design, I want it to be colorful, functional, unique and well thaught of, but I also give extra attention to the details in order for it to be as long lasting as you want it to be. In my items I mainly use natural fabrics, like cotton, linen and wool. When I can, I use recycled materials, especially in my wrapping supplies.
As much as I love my designs, I also love custom orders and I am open to new ideas and color combinations, so I urge you to contact me with new ideas, requests and questions.
