Everything here came off my worktable in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Some of it is finished. Some of it is started and waiting for someone else’s hands. None of it is precious.

STUDIO MAIL — Real envelopes, packed by hand after you order. Part finished, part waiting for you.

FROM THE WORKTABLE — One-of-a-kind folios. Made once. When they’re gone, they’re gone.

BOOKS & ZINES — Small printed things from the studio.

If you found me through a video, this is where the things in it go next.

Shine your light! Monette.

Started in the wild. Finished by you.

I'm Monette. I've been making art for more than thirty years, in a studio in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina.

Most of what I make never gets polished. Papers I paint off at the end of a session. Pieces I start, scrape back and cut up. Work that has sat around too long and is headed for the fire. I film a lot of that: the ugly middle, the rescue, the burning. This shop is where the pieces go when the camera's off.

What you'll find here:
Things already started, so your first move is small and lands on top of mine.
Mail: an envelope packed by hand, part finished, part waiting for you.
One-of-a-kind pieces, made once and never repeated.

Nothing here has to be used well. Paint over it, cut it up, finish it, or keep it exactly as it is. It's yours.

You'll find me on YouTube and in my weekly letter, Works of Dangerous Joy. The shop is the part you can hold.

Take what belongs to you.
Shine your light! Monette.
