Staying creative and keeping the family.
We began our shop, first, in 2016 selling hand painted baby onesies and hand drawn Christmas cards. After several artistic acts of freedom and iterations of product ideas we eventually came to sell jewelry. Though we both enjoy our own separate mediums we have found common ground with jewelry assembling.
Using beads that we have both searched for and purchased and also ones we have either inherited somehow or that we have upcycled, we build and fashion earrings and necklaces and soon bracelets and anklets. We only upcycle the finest fun pieces -- we love designing for our elegant customer.
Oh! We are daughter and mother! We have built our business from scratch beginning with no idea how to even use Etsy but a strong want to create something that is ours and that reflects who we are as artists. Our ideas together make up our product lines and we are thrilled to have such a platform to collaborate on.
Shop Fiorello started as Sweet Pepper Prints and evolved into Sweet Pepper Shop; then Shop Fiorello. Our logo for Sweet Pepper Prints has always been a self designed flower and "fiorello" in Italian, means flower. It seemed fitting when we scrolled down what seemed like an infinite list of names we should take on. And so we have made our choice to be Shop Fiorello and we can now continue to create and continue to be inspired by our other endeavors and the pieces of our lives that make us feel alive.
