Shop LLAP is the genuine execution of the sincere bond between Leonard Nimoy (AKA Mr. Spock from Star Trek) and his granddaughter, Dani.
Em janeiro de 2010, Leonard Nimoy estava interessado em encomendar camisetas para sua próxima exposição do projeto fotográfico "Secret Selves", no MASS MOCA. Naturalmente, ele consultou Dani e pediu sua opinião. Leonard ficou tão impressionado com as ideias dela que decidiu entregar o projeto a Dani, que, na época, cursava Marketing de Produtos.
Em 22 de março de 2010, Leonard e Dani lançaram a Secret Selves, uma pequena loja no Etsy.com, que vendia camisetas relacionadas ao projeto de Leonard.
Em fevereiro de 2012, Leonard e Dani se graduaram do Etsy.com e abriram sua própria loja online, agora conhecida como ShopLLAP.com.
O amor de Dani pelo Etsy nunca diminuiu, então ela abriu uma versão menor da loja Shop LLAP em janeiro de 2017.
Leonard faleceu em 27 de fevereiro de 2015 devido a complicações da Doença Pulmonar Obstrutiva Crônica, também conhecida como DPOC.
A loja LLAP doa uma porcentagem de seus lucros anuais para a equipe de pesquisa de DPOC (Doença Pulmonar Obstrutiva Crônica) da UCLA como uma homenagem em memória de Leonard Nimoy.
In January of 2010, Leonard Nimoy was interested in having t-shirts made for his upcoming exhibition of his photography project, “Secret Selves,” at MASS MOcA. Naturally, he consulted Dani and asked for her input. Leonard was so impressed with her conceptions that he decided to hand the project over to Dani who, at the time, was working towards her degree in Merchandise Marketing.
On March 22nd, 2010, Leonard and Dani launched Secret Selves, a small shop on Etsy.com, which sold shirts relating to Leonard’s project.
In February 2012, Leonard and Dani graduated from Etsy.com and opened their own online store, now known as ShopLLAP.com.
Dani's love for Etsy never stopped so she opened a smaller version of Shop LLAP in January, 2017.
Leonard passed away on February 27th 2015 due to complications from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease AKA COPD.
Shop LLAP donates a percentage of their yearly profits to UCLA's COPD research team as a tribute in memory of Leonard Nimoy.
