Why doesn't Rodinia ship to California now?
We do not ship to any California addresses because it has become too difficult as a small business. We make no exceptions. If you order from a California shipping address your order will immediately be cancelled and refunded. We're very sorry and maybe things will improve, but at the moment this is our policy. It's not an Etsy thing. Thanks for your understanding.

Yes, unless we specifically say otherwise in the listing. We generally work on one piece at a time and are a small-scale, hand-crafted business. When you see a listing, it's typically the only one we have and we may never have it again.

Most items are photographed inside a lightbox to show you the best detail.

We don't take custom orders or provide resizing as we focus on creating new pieces. Etsy has a number of sellers who provide these services.

We test gold percentages using the GemOro AuRACLE Agt3 which specifies gold to the nearest karat. Depending on where we acquire salvaged items, they may also have been tested before we receive them and we test again to confirm the reported results.

It's standard practice to use macro photography to show the closeup details of jewelry, but this can also make items seem larger than they really are. If you read the listing details you'll find the item's dimensions. You'll also find reference photos (typically the item photographed next to a quarter) as well as video of the item in a hand. At times I also include a photo of jeweler's calipers on items where dimensions require extra emphasis. And you can always ask if you have questions about size.
