Ruministics is a small, independant & locally-owned company based in St. Louis, Missouri. Through the use of aromatherapy, Ruministics seeks to help you create reflective moments for your body and soul as you live life on the go.
The story of how I started Ruministics begins back in 2009. I was in my late 20’s and had just spent several years traveling around the world. After my travels I came back to my hometown of St. Louis, MO and settled down (To a point! I still love traveling!!). After coming back to St. Louis I discovered a serious interest in living a natural, healthy lifestyle, the arts and creative living. During my process of learning more about healthy living, I took up things like yoga, making smoothies, trying to garden in an urban environment and making my own natural care products. I also discovered an interest in essential oils and aromatherapy. This interest led me to officially study aromatherapy with the American College of Healthcare Sciences and earn a Certificate of Aromatherapy with the college in 2011.
This knowledge of aromatherapy, plus a love of natural living, led me to start Ruministics, a small business that focuses on thoughtful, simple and natural body care & aromatherapy so you can create reflective moments for your soul while living life on the go.
I started Ruministics in 2016 and have sold extensively at in-person local events, markets, pop ups and on my own branded website for the past several years. I now join Etsy as a way to broaden my online horizons and make these specific health and wellness blends more readily available to the online market.
I make all of my proprietary aromatic blends in-house, overseeing each step from beginning to end. Each unique blend has been designed by me, Hannah, with knowledge and skill of aromatherapy & a love of natural aromatic materials. Every blend starts as an idea; and involves research, testing, formulating and lots of patience! Once the formulation process is complete, we then lovingly handcraft all of my aromatic Roll & Go Oils individually to ensure quality, thoughtfulness, care and integrity in each and every one.
My natural cold-process soap is made in small, artisan batches with skin nourishing ingredients and pure essential oils.
In 2022 I added my line of handcrafted journals. All the journals are handbound by me personally with unique, one-of-a-kind covers. They make perfect gifts for the writer, artist or contemplative in your life.
The name Ruministics is from the Latin ‘Ruminare’; from roots Rumen, Ruminis. It speaks of remembering, recollection, thoughts and contemplation. I create my products with the intention and purpose of helping you to create moments for your soul as you live life on the go.
