I started making braided leashes for my own dogs when we discovered Canine Nose Work in 2010. My dog, Hoagie, and I needed something longer than the standard 4 or 6 foot leashes, but not quite as long as the 15 or 20 foot training and tracking leashes commonly found for sale.

Being the crafting addict I am, I made my first 8 foot leash out of lawnmower starter cord. When people started to notice my cool new leash, I made some more for friends, and eventually began to experiment with the lighter paracord materials. Hoagie used my first "Puppy Pull Cord" made from starter cord to achieve his NW1 and NW2 Nose Work but has recently upgraded to a green and black paracord leash on the trail to his NW3. Both Pretzel and Eloise use the thin style 10ft leashes as they work on their nose work titles. Pretzel sported a red and black to achieve his NW1 and Eloise uses a lavender and black 10ft as she blazes towards her NW3 and AKC Excellent scentwork titles.

I enjoy making custom leashes and toys for whatever dog sport or activity you can imagine. With the support of my amazing local dog community, I've had the pleasure of making leashes and gear for everything from Chihuahuas to Dobermans, and for any dog sport you can imagine.
