It all started when...
I've always had a love for photography. I remember as a child my Dad had a Nikon film camera and he would take pictures to experiment with the f-stop and shutter speed, trying to get the perfect shot. When I was in high school I developed a love for landscape photography and would drive around rural areas of San Diego trying to find cool and unusual photos to take. I loved finding old, abandoned farms filled with rusty tractors and overgrown grass. In high school I took a photography class and learned how to develop film in the darkroom. I loved the process of immersing a piece of blank photo paper into the chemicals and seeing my pictures come to life. It was such an awesome experience. I loved it so much that I bought a Beseler enlarger and all the needed supplies and set up a makeshift darkroom in my house.
In addition to my love of photography, I started making dog collars. I opened up an Etsy shop and eventually making collars became my full time job. I had so much extra fabric from my collars that I started making camera straps. I absolutely love what I do and never in a million years did I think I would be combining my love of photography with my passion of creating cool, unique items for photographers!
