Frequently asked questions
How do I care for my new item?
• Care for printed linen items – machine wash up to 40°C/104°F.
- Do not overload washing machine while washing linen fabric garments.
- Do not bleach and tumble dry to keep the printed design fresh and fabric good looking. Also, it helps to avoid unnecessary wrinkles and folds that can not be undone.
- Iron on medium-hot steam while it is still damp. - Using a pressing cloth is recommended or iron inside out.
- Linen fabrics may shrink, especially during the first washing. The fabric fades and wrinkles naturally, stays softer and more absorbing.
• Care for printed cotton fabrics – machine wash up to 60°C/140°F.
- Iron on medium-hot setting.
Why do you call your items unique?
• Most of my prints are done from real plants, twigs and leaves.
All the prints are done individually, using primitive and simple methods. They vary from each other in pattern, position, angle, ink intensity and composition.
Also, these designs are rare finds because of the limited possibility of using it. Mostly one piece can be printed 1- 5 times only.
• Plants are gently gathered from local meadows, forests and my garden.
• Items from rubber stamps are hand carved using original designs by me.
All prints are hand printed using water based fabric ink.
Where do you ship from?
• This shop is based and shipping from Northern Europe.
I ship worldwide via national post which is standard shipping with a tracking number.
Estimated delivery to Europe 4-10 days.
United States and Asia 9 - 25 days, Canada 18-25 days, Australia 3-4 weeks.
• There may be delivery delays due to the holiday rush starting at the end of November till end of December. Plan your shopping to get your gifts on time!
Multiple ordered items to one address are shipped in one box.
• Extra shipping for additional fee is possible if items are needed in shorter delivery term. Contact me for more info.
What materials are used to make your items?
• I use natural fabrics like linen and cotton. These materials come from the European manufacturers.
• The inks for prints are water based, they are environmentally friendly, made in Germany.
• All upcycled fabrics and scraps are pre-washed without using any detergents.
• Plants used for the prints are real, carefuly and responsibly gathered from my garden, local woods and meadows. They are pressed and naturally dried before using.
What are the plants you print from?
• I use real, mostly wild plants and herbs, weeds, leaves, flowers. Some of my favorites are Artemisia, Capsella bursa -pastoris, different grass flowers, ferns (Pteridophyta), Equisetopsida, Apiaceae, Ranunculus, Hypericaceae, Trifolium, Geum, Galum, Potentilla, Pimpinella saxifrage, lavandula and many more.
They are carefully and responsibly gathered from my garden, local woods and meadows, ditches.
• I take plant parts only, not cutting all stem, so plants keep growing and blooming.
• All pieces are put between book pages immediately, right in a place they grow - to keep the shape until they naturally dry and are ready for the printing.
I am fascinated by that and say "thank you" every single piece after using it.
