Hi. My name is Chelsea.
I'm a mama to two beautiful babies. A son, who is almost four and a daughter who is two. I have a BA in liberal studies, and a math minor. I DO love education and numbers, but my love for art goes deeper.
I have always loved art--in all its forms. And before lettering was a "thing," I remember powerful words, names, and sayings covering my papers and notebooks in lots of pretty or funky self drawn fonts. So, even before I knew it, this was the perfect job for me.
Creating signs really began with my own wedding and the weddings of all of my friends. I fell in love.
In love so much, that I want to share this love with all of you :)
I pride myself in paying attention to detail. Everything I create is hand lettered and hand painted by me. There is never any vinyl or stenciling involved. That's becoming much more difficult to find. It so important to me that what you are receiving is 100% authentic, and made with a ton of love.
It means the world to me when someone decides to trust in me to create these wonderful signs for such important, momentous events. I don't take it lightly! Thank you so much for all of your support and love!

Custom and personalized orders
I am so happy to customize any of my listed signs to your specifications. Everything you see is made to order, so sizing, colors, design, wording can all be tailored to your needs
If you have something completely new in mind, I welcome all ideas and love creating completely custom pieces.
Care instructions
If you're purchasing a reusable chalkboard, I will send along a care slip so you're sure to get the best use and longevity out of your board.
Gift wrapping and packaging
I nicely package all of my items before they're sent off. I am happy to add a nicer Kraft wrapping paper and a note if you'd like it a bit more prepared for gift giving at no additional charge.
What can I expect when I order a natural wood product?
We, here at Signed Lots of Love, strongly believe in the beauty of natural wood as its imperfections, unpredictability, and varying tones, textures add to its beauty.
Each piece of wood is unique in its own. We select the best pieces of wood available, but knots, small splits, uneven textures are not considered defective, but characteristic. Each piece of wood accepts stain differently, and is also part of that unique characteristic.

Do you have any signs ready to ship?
We are completely custom, made to order. Business runs out of our home, and we just do not have the capacity to have a large stock on hand. Thank you for understanding.
What are your signs made with?
All of our chalkboards are 100% handmade using very durable hardboard. There is a nine step prep process to turn it into an extremely long lasting and beautiful chalkboard. The hardboard is primed and painted with three coats of high quality chalkboard paint--with sanding in between each step.
We use gorgeous solid pine to create our mitered frames and our wooden signs. We can always quote out another type of wood if you prefer, however.
Can I use chalk markers on your chalkboards?
Regular chalk on a seasoned board is best recommended. I send a care instruction sheet along with your order for best care.
However, we have been doing additional testing. If you really prefer chalk marker, Chalk Ink Wet Wipe markets have been the only brand to pass! You still must season your chalkboard prior to each use and know that tiny traces may be left behind, but with a good circular, more rigorous wiping, most of the product will erase. No other chalk markers (talking in the dozens tested!) will work as well. You can find them online or in our shop.
