Do what you love--love what you do!
It all started when we bought a little lake cabin. I was really interested in decorating it DIY style to save a little cash but also to put my own stamp on the décor. I've always enjoyed creating things; from decorating gingerbread cookies as a kid to scrapbooking as an adult! For the cabin, I began to up-cycle old furniture and give it new life as TV stands and turning everyday objects into light fixtures. When I would hit the craft fairs and flea markets I realized that I could actually make a lot of the cute wood signs I was seeing so I decided to give it a shot! I made a few signs as gifts for friends and those friends in turn showed off my work, leading to orders from other great folks! I have so many ideas of signs to make that I decided the best way to get them all out there was to open this Etsy shop! While I love the scripture verses and holiday signs hanging up in my home, I can also be a little bit sarcastic and some of the funny signs end up at our cabin.
I'm so thankful to be able to do what I love and also support our family in even a small way! I've been married to my best friend since 1996 and we have 4 handsome boys in our house. Our youngest is only 5, so being able to stay home with him as well as work while he's in school means so much to me! Our oldest two go off to college soon so I know all too well how fast time flies--every moment I get to spend with my boys is very precious to me.
