It started with squirrels...
When I was ten years old my best friend gave me a set of miniature toy squirrels for my birthday. These close-wearing anthropomorphic squirrels deserved only the very best that life could offer. Naturally, this extended to expanding their diet from acorns to everything under the sun. My sister and I began to sculpt food out of polymer clay for these little creatures. Eventually, I started branching out and making jewelry to give as gifts for friends and family. I created this company to share my love of making jewelry out of polymer clay with the world.
So why the name?
As a small child, I developed an autoimmune disorder called Vitiligo which attacks pigment cells and leaves the skin void of any color. This affected my face and my eyelashes, eventually giving me black and white striped eyelashes. Needless to stay, I stand out from the rest of the crowd because of it. It makes me unique and I embrace that. At Silver Lashes Co, I instill the same unique quality into my pieces and make every piece with love because the world can always use a little more love.
