My passion for working in metals began with a welding course in college as I pursued a concentration in sculpture. Later, I accepted a job teaching sculpture where I was asked if I could also teach a small metals course in jewelry, little did I know at the time, but opening up my practice to jewelry design would broaden my perspective as a sculptor. When not in the studio, I am an avid walker who finds much of my inspiration from the natural environment. Focusing on creating small wearable sculptures, I seek to create intricate objects that remind us of places that are often overlooked.
