Simple Country Burlap Wreaths
Growing up, I surrounded myself with crafts with encouragement from my mom and granny. Over the years, my mom taught me to cross-stitch, tie quilts, garden and so much more. I would sit with my granny for hours assisting her with any task needed with her sewing and quilting projects. As an adult, I still enjoy working with my hands creating home décor. When my two beautiful girls were born, I decided that I wanted to stay home with them as long as possible. Simple Country Burlap was created a few years later and flourished ever since.
3 years ago, my sister-in-law approached me with an idea to make wreaths for our homes (never made a wreath before in my life). I quickly fell in love with every aspect of the wreath-making process, from creating a design in my mind to picking materials and selecting colors, and even using my hands to make the creation final. With self-taught trial and error, I was able to master the technique still used today for my uniquely designed wreaths.
So here I am today, I work seven days a week to make Simple Country Burlap successful. Each wreath takes time as I am a perfectionist and I make each wreath from start to finish. Most Etsians will write about their craft room where they create their products. My process is a little different, my 'craft room' is mobile, I will create inside or outside as I surround myself with my children and husband. My favorite times are when my children pull out their own craft and work next to me.
