Simple Elements Design comenzó en 1987. Anteriormente había trabajado como diseñador para otra empresa de joyería. Durante años, la gente me decía que saliera por mi cuenta, pero fue necesario que mi esposo fuera despedido de su trabajo para que yo saltara del acantilado y comenzara mi propio negocio. Estoy muy contento de haberlo hecho. Mi tienda me da la oportunidad de ser creativo y ser creativo es como respirar para mí. Me gusta el hecho de que lo hago todo: se me ocurre el diseño; hazlo; fotografiarlo y manejar el envío cuando se vende. La mayor parte de mi trabajo es único en su tipo. Creo que las joyas de una persona deben ser tan distintivas como lo son. ¿Por qué usar cosas que se parecen a lo que todos los demás están usando?

Hay tantas cosas que me encantan de lo que hago. Me gusta el hecho de que me inspiro en la naturaleza y mis jardines y luego creo una obra de arte que la gente puede usar. Aprecio las relaciones que he desarrollado con clientes de todo el mundo. Mi esposo bromea con que dirijo un negocio internacional. Gracias a Etsy, lo hago.

Prefiero trabajar con piedras naturales. La madre naturaleza crea algunos materiales bastante maravillosos para trabajar. Tengo debilidad por las perlas y la turquesa, así que uso bastante esos artículos. Veo las piedras como una nueva caja de crayones... oh las posibilidades.

Simple Elements Design started in 1987. Previously I had worked as a designer for another jewelry company. For years people were telling me to go out on my own but it took my husband being laid off from his job for me to jump off of the cliff and start my own business. I am so glad I did. My shop gives me the opportunity to be creative and being creative is like breathing to me. I like the fact that I do it all: I come up with the design; make it; photograph it and handle the shipping when it is sold. Most of my work is one of a kind. I think a person's jewelry should be as distinctive as they are. Why wear things that look like what everyone else is wearing?

There are so many things I love about what I do. I like the fact that I take inspiration from nature and my gardens and then create a piece of art people can wear. I cherish the relationships I have developed with customers all over the world. My husband jokes I run an international business. Thanks to Etsy, I do.

I prefer to work with natural stones. Mother Nature creates some pretty wonderful materials to work with. I have a soft spot for pearls and turquoise so I use those items quite a bit. I view stones like a new box of crayons...oh the possibilities.
