Welcome to Simple Herbs and Tallow!
Hi! My name is Ruth, and I'm the founder of Simple Herbs and Tallow.
My love for herbs began nearly 10 years ago when one of my children struggled with eczema. After trying different products, I found that herbal salves were the most helpful. That experience sparked my interest in learning about herbs, natural skincare, and creating gentle products made with simple, nourishing ingredients.
Over the years, I have continued studying herbs, tallow, creams, salves, and other natural skincare products. I grow most of the herbs used in our products in our own organic garden using regenerative gardening practices. I also gather herbs from local forests, mountain areas and organic herbal companies. I am always learning, improving my formulas, and creating new products to provide the highest quality skincare for our customers.
Our family has moved several times, and we are now blessed to call Idaho home. The climate here is very different from where we used to live. We love experiencing all four seasons, especially winter with its beautiful snow, skiing, and ice skating. However, Idaho's cold weather also brings extremely dry air. That challenge inspired me to begin making rich, moisturizing lotions and tallow balms for my own family.
I wanted products that are made with clean, natural ingredients that are pure that you could recognize every one of them. More importantly, I wanted skincare that would deeply nourish and protect our skin through the long, dry winter months.
Soon I began making extra products for friends and family. After that, one order led to another, and before long, Simple Herbs and Tallow was born.
Today, we are honored to share our handcrafted products with even more families. Every product is made with carefully selected organic ingredients and crafted in small batches with love and attention to quality.
Thank you for supporting our small business. We hope our products bring comfort and nourishment to your skin. We'd love to hear what you think, so please let us know if you have any feedback or suggestions.
With gratitude,
Ruth Panfilov
