My husband & I married in 2016. We welcomed our first son in 2017.
We were hit by Hurricane Michael in October 2018 & local real estate came to a screeching halt.
My husband was a realtor at the time & we lost most of our income. I was pregnant with our second son & suddenly had to provide for my family while my husband returned to school & switched careers.
I grew up in a creative home with a mom who has sewn since she was 13. Embroidery was always part of my life & it was now something that fit into our preschool schedule. The time had finally time to offer it to other mamas!
In February 2019, we welcomed our second son. Once we were discharged from the hospital, I hit the ground running.
I launched a FB group for embroidery & SimpleSweetMama was born!
Simple Sweet Mama started at my 8x8 dining room table in FL & graduated into an added-on room (with no A/C - whew) once we relocated to Mobile, AL for my husband's schooling.
My husband completed school in 2020, but this sweet business had become such an integral part of our lives & my customers had become friends. There was no way I could say goodbye to it.
We relocated to Birmingham, AL in March 2021 for his new job & Simple Sweet Mama is now my full time custom embroidery business & an LLC.
I officially have a custom built office space & get to live my dreams everyday!
This business continues to grow each year & I'm often left speechless (in a good way)!
