Story about Simple walks
I am Dovilė Aukškelienė. In any weather, you can find me in the forest by picking berries, mushrooms, herbs, watching the trees sway, watching the beetles, waiting for the deer to run throw the way, or just regaining strength and inspiration. Now I’m already walking not alone, with my two little girls we are observing trees, following beetles, counting mushrooms. My Simple walks were born in the forest while I was watching my girl, who see the world so bright, so beautiful, so special.
I always looking for naturalness, a relation with nature. I have been creating an organic farm with my husband for several years to be closer to nature and to eat real food. When my first girl was born, I started looking for clothes that would create my girl’s story, pass down from generation to generation, they would be simple, sustainable, and natural. There were still very few alpaca wool clothes in Lithuania, and I know how to knit! I started looking for yarns, went around almost all Lithuanian alpaca farms, after long searches and tests I discovered a particularly soft, gentle, alpaca yarn, the warmth of which I want to share with all the children of the world.
I especially love things that creating stories, have a passion, are made with good intention, because what we wear and what things are around us creates our history, emotions, and experiences. I value simplicity, quality, durability, so I create what brings warmth, good passion, and a little nature to the house.
Less is more.
