How Did Simply Bella's Become About?
Yes, another "Covid-19 Baby" business! I started Simply Bella's June of 2020 shortly after being laid off as a Restaurant Manager in NYC. Returning back to my roots in South Jersey I started working at my father's restaurant again to help keep the business going through hard times.
During the slow hours I would craft cocktails in the bar made with custom flavored syrups.
I brought that cocktail creation addiction back home each night to share with my neighborhood friends on our 5 mile daily walks. I mean what else were we supposed to do during the lockdown?! Overtime more interest grew for my syrups through social media and I signed up for my first market!
From there I was asked to be a part of so many other markets, even out of state! I was then interviewed for an article in the Philadelphia Inquirer following a live interview with the local Fox 29 news, I mean WOW!
I then connected with a local marketing consultant, Segal Associates, who introduced me to New Jersey Farmers Against Hunger. They are a non-profit organization that takes the surplus produce from local farmers to donate to families in need. With my syrups being made from that same local Jersey Fresh produce I thought this was a perfect match! Later that year I hosted my first benefit event for New Jersey Farmers Against Hunger which turned out to be a sold event!
