My decorated world
I have always been interested in arts and crafts, I like the idea to do all I can myself. The first to really captivate me was silk painting, I enjoy painting on silk as much as I enjoy wearing my silk scarves.
It all began from silk scarves and then one day I suddenly came up with an idea - what if I try to do my ornaments 3D! And there came the silk flowers. The first silk flower I made was a rose, it is still one of the designs I make, and then I went on with more fantasy-like designs, which do not resemble any real flowers. The silk is a delicate material, but this delicacy of the flowers I make from natural silk adds them a particular charm and lightness.
I did not limit myself with scarves and silk jewelry, soon I had the idea of decorated linen, and therefore I designed linen toys, which I handmade myself, hand decorated, and applied silk flowers where I saw fit. I like a lot the combination of natural fabrics of silk and linen. Linen being more rustic, down to earth, and silk being airy, light and elegant they make together a nice contrasting combination.
I do not like repeating myself when I draw on silk or when I decorate my linen toys, I even do not make very detailed sketches on paper, as then I would be bored redrawing all on silk again. I do repeat style, colors, I have constant pattern for my linen toys and decorations, but each ornamented motif is always different, making each of my works one of a kind.
The need for variety has led me to producing quite many different types of items that you can see in this shop. I hope this does not confuse you, but makes you feel as if you are visiting a small boutique where you come back to treat yourself with something special or when looking for gifts for your loved ones.
