A Long and Meticulous Production Process
The journey of our necklaces begins with the careful selection of high-quality wood. Not every piece of wood is suitable for jewelry making. We inspect each raw log and select only the most beautiful sections, areas with the richest grain patterns, warm tones, and natural character. A large portion of the wood is set aside, and only the best pieces are allowed to proceed.
The selected wood is then broken down into smaller pieces suitable for necklace making. These pieces are sliced into thin layers and gradually thinned through numerous sanding stages, from rough shaping to an ultra-smooth finish. This meticulous preparation allows the natural beauty of the wood to be fully revealed.
Once the surface is ready, our unique designs are meticulously etched into the wood using precise laser technology. After the etching process, the wood is reshaped, sanded and adjusted repeatedly to achieve a perfectly smooth and balanced form.
After shaping, the piece is cleaned and treated with natural oils. These oils nourish the wood, deepen its natural tones, and prepare it for the most delicate stage of the process.
The Traditional Art of Natural Varnish — 40 Layers of Patience
One of the most time-consuming and challenging steps is the application of the natural varnish coating.
Natural varnish is a traditional coating known for creating a warm, deep, natural sheen. Unlike modern synthetic coatings, it must be applied in very thin layers—slowly, patiently, and by hand.
Approximately 40 layers of natural varnish are applied to each pendant to achieve the rich, glossy look we aim for.
Each layer is carefully applied, allowed to set, and then the next layer is gradually built up. This slow and meticulous process gives our pendants their unique natural sheen, smooth appearance, and timeless beauty.
This stage alone requires patience, care, and skill; however, this is where the wood truly comes to life.
From Handcraft to Final Product
Once the natural varnish coating has completely dried, the necklace is carefully assembled. Each piece is inspected, adjusted, and prepared for its final presentation. From the selection of raw wood to the final packaging, the entire process involves dozens of careful steps and repeated handcrafting stages.
