The Evolution of Single Witch Designs
Our ornament collection began in 2000. We had owned a small ceramic and painting studio and, after closing it down to become a full-time art teacher, I went to a craft show to sell off the shop samples. I took along some items to paint as Christmas ornaments, just to have "something to do." As it turned out, customers wanted the ornaments and I couldn't paint them fast enough. I have since expanded my designs to include patterns for larger, home decor items.
Today the ornament collection comprises a major portion of our business. The "Never Alone" Snowmen series was introduced to the decorative painting community in the November 2020 issue of the Pixelated Palette, digital painting magazine. The design is called "Don't Forget Your Hat" and is meant to acknowledge all of the essential workers who leave the safety of their homes and the love of their families to go to work during the COVID-19 pandemic. The series was started in 2012 and this design is from November 2020. I am pleased to offer the pattern to the decorative painting community who have so embraced these designs. These ornaments were originally painted on wood surfaces, , but are suitable for a multitude of surfaces..
