A family business with a foot in the past
Oh, where to start?
Fashion design has been in our family for generations. My grandmother made embroidered garments for women in the 50's. She had a studio where she designed from the garments themselves to the embroidered work on them. She was a designer, pattern maker, tailor, creating everything she made. She oversaw all work done by her employees, much like we do now with ours, and run a successful business selling to the likes of Sears and small fashion department stores.
This was our beginning.
Costuming became the passion of the newer generations. It became a family affair when mom brought home Peacock’s “History of Western Fashion” back in the 90s.
We were just kids but awestruck and since then, we devoted ourselves to learn so we could create new patterns and designs for our own new endeavor and continue our family trade. It has been a journey and we have been there since the beginning creating, or helping create as children, all our designs.
Etsy is the best place for designers to showcase their creative work. It doesn't get lost in an ocean of generic mass produced fast fashion garments. Yet it allows new designers to grow by allowing them to hire help as long as they create their own work and they are actively involved in their business, much like designer brands but at its roots.
Our studio is located in India. We chose India for the infinite amount of beautiful fabrics they create with a variety unknown in other places. We have only touched the surface and intend to bring you more of our unique styles in new fabrics.
Our small business is 100% woman owned. From design concept to customer service, we are completely involved in bringing quality items at affordable prices for everyone to be able to enjoy and have been since the mid 90's.
It is our pleasure to sell on Etsy and enjoy every minute chatting with customers.
This is not just a company for us; we are passionate about what we do.
Thank you so much for supporting small business on Etsy!
