How the Skillipigs spread across the UK
The Skillipigs would like to tell you a little about themselves.
They were ‘born’ in 2020, shortly before lockdown, as a spark in the mind of Dick Skilton, a man in his seventies in rural Shropshire, who regularly saw and fed hedgehogs in his garden. He thought they would be appealing as little characters on greetings cards. Encouraged by his wife and family he has developed the designs into a large collection of general cards, with Skillipigs depicted in a huge variety of situations and activities. There is often an element of gentle humour and an ‘ahh’ factor. Increasingly, stockists are also attracted to the option of having an individual collection with the addition of their village, town, area or county to some or all of the cards.
Skillipig cards are now stocked across the UK, from Shetland to Penzance, in imaginative Post Offices, Village and Community shops, Tea Rooms and other independent retailers who like to offer their customers something different.
