We are now renaming our shoes Skipper Booties by BabyBabesBabe with our new tag "Skipper". All our shoes are individually hand made by me.

** From 0 - 24 months old, our soft-sole shoes are handmade with an original front design to accommodate an infant's fast-growing feet and wiggling toes. Our uppers, the unique and colorful combinations and designs are carefully picked from a wide variety of cotton, denim and flannel fabrics. The soles are made from minky bonded cuddle, camel/brown faux fur (or see other options available) on one side, and faux suede on the other side. All of our products and shoes are hand-made in a smoke-free, pet/animal-free, chemical-free environment.**

The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends non-skid, soft sole shoes during the first year, that have enough coverage to protect baby feet without inhibiting walking. They also concluded that the best foot development occurs in a barefoot environment, and that footwear that is constrictive can cause weakness, deformity, or even loss of mobility. Podiatrists also recommended shoes that are soft and flexible that can bend with your baby’s foot as they take their first steps. Soft sole shoes size guide:

0-6 months: 10.5 cm
6-12 months 12.5 cm
12-18 months: 13.5 cm
18-24 months: 14.5 cm

**To choose the right size, please measure your infant's foot from the tip of the heel to the tip of the big toe in centimeters, then add 1 cm. For example. if the measured length of the foot is 11.5 cm, add 1 cm to equal 12.5 cm. The perfect size in this example would be a 6-12 months with little (1 cm) wiggle room for growth.**
