Who are Slate Valley?
Welcome to Slate Valley! My name is Tom and I am the owner of Slate Valley, a laser engraving business based in Swansea, Wales. As a recent University graduate with a passion for design and the outdoors I began creating coaster designs focusing especially on the beaches of the Gower, an area of outstanding natural beauty. Since then our designs have expanded to help preserve your memories in slate, to last a lifetime! At Slate Valley we enjoy the interaction with our customers and encourage specific design requests and personal designs to capture those really special moments!
I personally have always had a passion for design and crafts, and from a young age had a love of working with wood and later on slate because of its natural versatility and beauty. With my business, I specialize in creating high quality slate coasters that showcase the unique character of the slate and the design, bringing the two together to create a unique gift! I like to think of each piece of slate similarly to a snowflake or fingerprint, with each coaster having it's unique gradient and markings as it is all sourced naturally.
I take great pride in my work and consider myself a perfectionist, taking great care to check each product before shipping to ensure it meets the Slate Valley standard!
