Royal Mail heeft de posttarieven opnieuw verhoogd. Om de kosten redelijk te houden, heb ik mijn standaard verzendoptie binnen het VK nu ingesteld op "2e klasse" in plaats van 1e klasse. (Dit geldt niet voor internationale klanten.) Zo houd ik de kosten laag en hoeven jullie niet de hoofdprijs te betalen voor...
HAAL JE PAKKET OP! ALS JE EERSTE KLAS VERZENDING WILT, IS ER ALTIJD EEN OPTIE OM TE UPGRADEN, MAAR ETSY IS EEN BEETJE VREEMD MET HUN VERZENDPROFIELEN ENZ. WAARDOOR HET UITEINDELIJK VEEL TE DUUR KAN KOMEN. VIA MY BIG CARTEL IS HET VEEL EENVOUDIGER, HIER KUN JE KIEZEN UIT MEERDERE OPTIES.

Ik ben na de jaarwisseling weer terug in de winkel - op 2 januari 2026. Alle verwachte bestellingen (besteld vóór of tijdens de feestdagen) worden binnen enkele dagen na mijn terugkomst verzonden. Heeft u vragen of opmerkingen? Ik help u graag verder. Ik kijk uit naar wat dit jaar ons brengt!

PUBLICATIEDATUMS...
Hallo allemaal, ik wilde even een korte herinnering geven over de uiterste verzenddata. Binnen het Verenigd Koninkrijk heeft mijn koerier (Royal Mail) aangegeven dat de uiterste verzenddatum voor eersteklas brieven/pakketten die vóór Kerstmis moeten aankomen, zaterdag 20 december is. Aangezien al mijn pakketten binnen het VK op deze manier worden verzonden, betekent dit dat jullie ze op tijd zouden moeten ontvangen! Ik doe mijn uiterste best om ervoor te zorgen dat zelfs bestellingen die na deze datum verzonden zouden moeten worden, vroegtijdig worden verwerkt en verstuurd. Ik ga mijn uiterste best doen om ervoor te zorgen dat alles vóór Kerstmis aankomt. Maar we weten allemaal dat deze tijd van het jaar extra druk legt op de bezorgdiensten. Vergeet ook niet (hoewel iedereen altijd erg aardig en begripvol is) dat Slime Rat Merch een eenmanszaak is. Ik probeer zo georganiseerd en snel mogelijk te zijn, maar soms zijn er gewoon niet genoeg uren in een dag! Kortom, alle bestellingen binnen het Verenigd Koninkrijk worden uiterlijk 19 december gemaakt en verzonden. We hopen dat ze op tijd voor Kerstmis bij u aankomen. Dit geldt voor badges, stickers en prints.
Niet voor T-shirts, omdat de print- en verwerkingstijden niet realistisch zijn om het op tijd af te krijgen.

Zoals jullie allemaal al weten, kunnen er bij internationale bestellingen sowieso al enorme vertragingen optreden, laat staan tijdens de feestdagen, omdat pakketten naar de andere kant van de wereld worden gevlogen. Maar tot nu toe heb ik geprobeerd me aan een strak schema te houden. Alles wat vóór 15-12-2025 is besteld, is internationaal verzonden in de hoop dat het op tijd aankomt, gezien de levertijd van Royal Mail van 7-14 dagen. Bestellingen na deze datum verstuur ik vóór 19-12-2025, maar de kans dat ze aankomen is dan kleiner, tenzij ik zelf met het vliegtuig kom en ze persoonlijk aflever.

Hartelijk dank aan iedereen voor jullie steun dit jaar, het was echt een fantastisch jaar! Ik kijk ernaar uit om in 2026 nieuwe, coole dingen te maken en Slime Rat nog verder te laten groeien...
Als je vragen hebt, sta ik altijd klaar om je zo goed mogelijk te helpen. Ik vraag alleen wel om wat geduld en begrip.

📢 GROTE AANKONDIGING!!!!
Slime Rat Merchandise heeft EINDELIJK een eigen website! Ik heb de afgelopen jaren hard gewerkt om mijn winkel te laten groeien, te beginnen op Etsy. Maar de afgelopen maanden merkte ik dat mijn Etsy-winkel te klein werd, en de vele negatieve ervaringen onderweg motiveerden me om een eigen website te bouwen. Ik hoop dat jullie er net zo blij mee zijn als ik 💚
De komende weken zal er flink wat ontwikkeling plaatsvinden met nieuwe producten. Op dit moment is het nog een wat luxere versie van mijn Etsy-pagina, maar ze is in ieder geval al operationeel! Mijn Etsy-winkel blijft voorlopig nog samenwerken met mijn Big Cartel-winkel, zodat iedereen het kan weten! Ik wil iedereen die me gesteund heeft en blijft steunen ontzettend bedanken. 💚🐀

UPDATE VERZENDING NAAR DE VS 04/10/25
Hallo allemaal, bedankt voor jullie geduld. Ik kan nu zowel via mijn Etsy-winkel als via mijn website verzendingen vanuit de VS accepteren via mijn postbezorger Royal Mail. Ik verzend alle pakketten naar de VS nu met PDDP (Postal Delivered Duties Paid). Dit betekent dat alle invoerrechten, tarieven, administratiekosten etc. al zijn inbegrepen wanneer ik het verzendlabel koop, zodat er geen onaangename verrassingen zijn wanneer jullie bestelling aankomt. Het enige nadeel is dat de verzendkosten naar de VS hierdoor zijn gestegen. Ik heb geprobeerd de kosten zo laag mogelijk te houden, maar helaas zijn er door de huidige omstandigheden toch verhogingen. Gelukkig hoeven er door de aard van mijn artikelen niet al te veel kosten te worden verrekend, maar de veranderingen kunnen wel frustrerend zijn. Als jullie vragen hebben, help ik jullie graag zo goed mogelijk. Ik waardeer jullie steun enorm en ben blij dat ik weer zaken kan doen met al mijn Amerikaanse klanten!

(BELANGRIJKE VERZENDINFORMATIE) 22-08-2025
Hallo allemaal!
Helaas heb ik slecht nieuws voor Slime Rat Merch. Hopelijk is dit niet permanent, maar slechts een tijdelijk probleem. Vanwege de huidige situatie met het verzenden van pakketten naar het buitenland, kan ik internationale klanten momenteel niet langer vanuit de VS laten bestellen. Vanaf 29 augustus vervalt de de minimis-vrijstelling voor goederen die de VS binnenkomen. Dit betekent dat meer artikelen die naar de VS worden verzonden, mogelijk onderworpen zijn aan invoerrechten en belastingen, ongeacht de waarde van het pakket. Hoewel de meeste van mijn artikelen kleding of kleine artikelen zijn, is het momenteel onduidelijk welke procedures ik moet volgen om artikelen te kunnen verzenden zoals voorheen. Ik ben bang dat klanten onverwacht met extra kosten worden geconfronteerd bij de levering van hun bestelling(en), en dat is natuurlijk niet wenselijk!
Kortom, tot de situatie veel duidelijker is en ik mijn prijzen voor artikelen en verzendkosten kan aanpassen om rekening te houden met invoerrechten en belastingen, is er helaas geen verzending mogelijk naar mijn klanten in de VS. Ik wil ervoor zorgen dat mijn klanten een eerlijke kans krijgen om precies te zien hoeveel alles kost voordat ze hun bestelling ontvangen. Daarom denk ik dat dit voorlopig de beste oplossing is, totdat ik DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) kan aanbieden als verzendoptie. Bovendien neemt mijn huidige koerier (Royal Mail) na 25 augustus geen pakketten meer aan, totdat ook zij meer weten over de huidige problemen met de internationale postbezorging. Zij hebben aangegeven dat ze de DDP-optie in de komende weken zullen toevoegen.
Mijn excuses voor het ongemak of de teleurstelling. Ik weet dat ongeveer de helft van mijn klanten uit de VS komt, en daar ben ik erg dankbaar voor! Hopelijk is dit een tijdelijk probleem dat snel is opgelost. Ik wilde jullie even een berichtje sturen om transparant te zijn. Als jullie vragen hebben, aarzel dan niet om contact met me op te nemen. Ik zal mijn best doen om jullie te helpen met de informatie die ik nu heb. Zodra ik meer weet, zal ik al mijn klanten via deze pagina, sociale media en mijn website informeren, dus houd het in de gaten. Alle openstaande bestellingen uit Amerika worden morgen verzonden, vóór de uiterste verzendtijd bij mijn postkantoor. Als er momenteel nog bestellingen op jullie wachten, kunnen er vertragingen optreden vanwege alle veranderingen die momenteel plaatsvinden. Ik vraag om jullie geduld! Tot ziens in de VS, ik zie jullie aan de andere kant van de oceaan! Bedankt voor jullie steun, zoals altijd. De verzending en orderverwerking blijven hetzelfde voor alle andere internationale bestemmingen en het Verenigd Koninkrijk.

(OVERIGE VERZENDINFORMATIE)
Ik heb gemerkt dat er de laatste tijd wat verwarring is ontstaan over de verzendopties, vooral bij mijn klanten in het buitenland. Bij het afrekenen heb je twee verzendopties. "Standaardverzending" heeft geen trackingnummer, terwijl "Verzending met tracking" (tegen een meerprijs) je de mogelijkheid biedt om je bestelling te volgen en in het ergste geval een claim in te dienen voor beschadigde of verloren artikelen.
Mocht u vragen hebben, neem dan gerust contact op met de winkel. Ik zal mijn best doen om eventuele problemen zo snel mogelijk op te lossen!

ROYAL MAIL HAVE ONCE AGAIN INCREASED THEIR POSTAL PRICES. THEREFORE TO KEEP IT AT A RESONABLE LEVEL, I 'VE NOW MADE MY STANDARD UK POSTAL OPTION "2ND CLASS" INSTEAD OF 1ST. (THIS WON'T APPLY TO INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS) JUST SO I CAN KEEP COSTS DOWN AND YOU GUYZ AREN'T FORKING OUT AN ARM AND A LEG JUST TO
GET YOUR PACKAGE! IF YOU WANT 1ST CLASS THERE 'S ALWAYZ OPTION TO UPGRADE BUT ETSY IS KIND OF WEIRD WITH THEIR DELIVERY PROFILES ETC. WHERE IT CAN END UP COSTING WAYYYY TOO MUCH. THROUGH MY BIG CARTEL IT'S MUCH MORE STRAIGHT FORWARD HERE YOU ARE ABLE TO CHOOSE BETWEEN MULTIPLE OPTIONS.

POSTING DATES...
Hi all, thought I'd hop on and just put a little reminder of the final postal dates. Within the UK my courier (Royal Mail) have advised that the FINAL postal dates for 1st Class letters/parcels to arrive before Christmas is-Saturday 20 December for 1st Class. Since all my parcels are sent this way within the UK, that means you should receive em on time! I'm working my lil butt off to make sure even orders that are meant to dispatch after this date are made and sent early. I'm going to work my hardest to make sure everything arrives by Christmas on my end. But we all know this time of year puts alot of stress on delivery services. Also please remember (even though everyone is always very kind and understanding) that Slime Rat Merch is a one lady run business, I try and be as organised and quick as possible but sometimes there's not enough hours in a day!! So in short, everything ordered within the UK will be made and dispatched no later than the 19th December, fingers crossed to get to you in time for Christmas. This will apply to badges/stickers/prints.
NOT to t-shirts as the print/processing times wouldn't be realistic to finish in time.

And as you all already are aware International orders there can be huge delays anyway nevermind the holiday season, as parcels are being flown to the other side of the globe. But as of now I've tried to keep to a strict schedule, anything ordered before 15/12/25 has been sent internationally in hopes that it will arrive on time due to Royal Mails timing of 7-14 days. Anything after this date I will send before 19/12/25, but the likelihood of it arriving may be less likely, unless I flew in on a plane and hand delivered it myself.

Truly thank you everyone for your support this year, it's been a real good one!! I'm excited to make cool new stuff and grow Slime Rat even more in 2026...

📢 BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!
Slime Rat Merchandise has FINALLY got it’s own website! I’ve been working hard to grow my shop over the last few years, starting on Etsy. Well I’ve found myself these last few months outgrowing my Etsy shop, with lots of negatives along the way motivating me to build my own website. I hope you’re all as stoked as I am 💚
There will be serious development over the next few weeks with new products hosted. For the moment it’s a bit more of a glamorous version of my Etsy page, but she’s up and running to say the least!! My Etsy will still be trading in unison with my Big Cartel for now so the word can get out!! I just want to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone that has supported me and continues to. 💚🐀

UPDATE USA SHIPPING 04/10/25
Hey all, thank you for bearing with me. I now have the capability to allow US shipping back on both my Etsy and website through my mail provider Royal Mail. I now will ship all US parcels with PDDP (Postal Delivered Duties Paid.) This meaning that when I purchase your label all duties, tariffs, handling fees etc. will be covered for, so there aren’t any nasty surprises when your goodies arrive at your door. The only frustrating thing is that this has increased the postal prices to get your orders to the US. I’ve tried to keep any additions to a minimum but unfortunately due to the current climate there has been increases. Luckily due to the nature of my items there isn’t too much that has to be accounted for but the changes can be frustrating. If you have any questions I’m always happy to help as much as I can. I really appreciate the support as always and I’m happy to be able to trade with all my US customers again!

(IMPORTANT SHIPPING INFO) 22/08/2025
Hey all!
Got a bit a sad news for Slime Rat Merch. Hopefully this isn't permanent, just a bit of a short term issue. Due to the current climate of posting parcels overseas, I've currently ceased the option of international customers being able to order in the USA. As of August 29th there will no longer be a de minimis exemption for goods entering the US. This means more items that are being shipped to the US may be subject to duties and taxes regardless of the value in the parcel. Although the majority of my items are clothing or very small, it is currently unclear what processes I myself have to account for to be able to ship items as I have been previously. My fear is the possibility of customer's receiving surprise charges in order to receive their item(s) which is no good!
So to sum up, until everything is much more clear and I can adjust my item/postage pricing to account for duties and taxes, there sadly won't be any post available for my US customers. I want to ensure that my customers are getting the fair chance to see exactly how much everything costs before receiving their order, so I think this is the best path forward for now until I can include DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) in my postage options. Aswell, my current courier (Royal Mail) isn't taking any parcels after the 25th August until they also know more about the current oversea postal issues and have indicated they will be adding a DDP option in the coming weeks.
My apologies for any inconvenience or disappointment. I know about roughly half of my customers shop from the US, who i greatly appreciate!! Hopefully this will be a short term issue and resolved quickly. I just wanted to put a quick message and be transparent with you all. If you have any questions or queries please always feel free to ask, I will try my best to help based on the info I currently know. As soon as I hear further update I will inform all my customers through here, social media and website so keep an eye. Any American outstanding orders will be posted tomorrow before the cut off at my post office. If anyone is currently waiting for any orders, there could be some delays due to all the changes currently happening. I ask for your patience during this time! But all there's left to say is farewell for now to the USA, I'll see you the other side of the pond! Thank you for all the support as always, post and order fulfilment will continue the same for everywhere else internationally and in the UK.

(OTHER SHIPPING INFO)
I've noticed there's been some confusion with shipping options recently, especially with my overseas customers. When checking out you will have two shipping options. "Standard Shipping" doesn't have a tracking number attached to your order, whereas "Tracked Shipping" (although an extra charge) will allow you to track your order and claim back for any damaged or lost orders worse case scenario.
If any queries, please never hesitate to contact the shop and I will try my best to help sort any problems immediately!
