I began making fantasy inspired accessories in 2016. I was going on my first trip to Disney World, and I knew I wanted to Disneybound everyday I was there. There just weren't many accessories in stores that would go with my outfits. Accessories help explain the character you're dressed as when Disneybounding, so I knew I had to take matters into my own hands. I began creating bows, necklaces, and more that would match the characters I was dressed as perfectly. I received so many compliments from people in the parks, family, and friends. They all thought I should be making these accessories available to others. I thought it was a good idea, but I started college the fall after my trip so I put the idea on hold. Then, in May of 2018, I decided that I could handle college and a small business. I did just what I had done for myself two years before. I made quality accessories that were inspired by favorite Disney characters. My favorite movie has always been Disney's Beauty and the Beast so, naturally, some of my first accessories were based on Belle. That was also the inspiration behind the name Small Provincial Shop and my accessory line Last Petal Accessories.
I want to share my love for bringing a little magic to everyday. This shop is not just for kids, it's for adults too. I still Disneybound even though I am not in the parks and, most of the time, people don't even know that my outfit was inspired by a Disney character. So, it can be done in a way that even us grown women can experience the joy and magic of dressing like our favorite princess or other character. As one of the Dapper Dans told me on my trip,"I like Disneybounding. It's subtle." He even guessed which character I was!
