About Small Town 3D Models
I've always loved small scale trains and usually create a nice layout for Christmas creating all kinds of buildings, scenes and structures all themed around the train I was using at the time. I've been doing it for a lot of years.
I got into 3D printing as a hobby and it was a natural fit to create buildings and structures for my train layouts utilizing this format. I love 3D printing and I love train layouts so I have the best of both worlds by bringing them together.
3D printing takes a long time to print but the final results come out really nice when a design comes together. The models are designed in a 3D CAD program, test printed, fine tuned, test printed again and repeat until I get the results I want. When I'm finally happy with the printed model, I turn it lose.
The models I produce are not some thin cheap plastic model. These models are designed and printed with thick walls and are very rugged on most models. Some of the porches on the log cabins are a bit delicate so they are in scale but the cabin itself is rugged. These models are designed to be heirlooms to be passed from generation to generation.
Everything I 3D print is designed, created, printed and inspected by me right here in the Midwest, USA. It takes a lot of time but time is nothing when you love what you do.
I hope you enjoy the models I create as much as I enjoy creating them.
