Through the years...
Over 41 years of experimentation and refinement has created this collection of jewelry. It is complete with elegant lines, rich textures and clean simple design. I strive to refine or distill my ideas rather than just adding more elements merely to balance the design. The metals I work with include sterling silver, 14K gold filled, 14k rose gold filled and niobium. Most of the niobium seen in my earring and pendant work has been anodized, producing brilliant color, and creating a stunning iridescence on the textured surfaces.
These pieces are fabricated by working directly on the metal, as with chasing, to establish rich patterns, piercing of the sheet metal to develop silhouettes, and indirectly through compression and expansion of the metal, to create deeply embossed surfaces. My layered pieces have great kinetic movement and a unique swell that creates wonderful depth within the piece.
