Unsure of exactly what she wanted to do with her life, Sarah Martin studied Media Production at University. It wasn't until she was set the task of designing a magazine for a Publishing module, that everything fell in to place.

After a gap year travelling Australia, Sarah began work at a publishing company, working (all hours!) on a number of monthly titles.

After her first son was born in 2011, Sarah decided to go freelance, working on magazines alongside a more varied range of design projects. It was also around this time that Smart Creative was born, after designing a custom Christening card for her niece, and a new baby print for a friend.

With a second child born in 2014, Sarah continues to juggle motherhood, a day job and Smart Creative, often firing up her Mac once her boys are tucked up in bed at night to work on another new design; her head is bursting with ideas, but as they say, there just arn't enough hours in the day (or night!).
