Deck boxes should feel like part of the deck.
At Snoo3d, I create themed deck boxes and tabletop accessories for MTG Commander, EDH, and other trading card games.
A deck usually has its own personality, so I wanted the box to feel like it belonged with it. A vampire deck could live inside a crypt. A retro gaming deck could have its own console. A strange jank deck could finally get the ridiculous home it deserved.
The best part was discovering that other players felt the same way. Customers were excited to find boxes that matched their favorite decks, made their playgroups laugh, reminded them of something they loved, or became meaningful gifts for other players.
That response slowly turned something I loved doing into a real business.
Today, I continue creating designs that are fun to look at, useful at the table, and worthy of the decks inside them. Many include features such as dice storage, card displays, token trays, or secure closures, but the theme is always at the heart of the design.
