This Privacy Policy describes how and when I collect, use and share information when you buy an item from me, contact me, or otherwise use my shop on Etsy.com. It does not apply to the practices of third parties I don't own or control, including Etsy. You can read the Etsy Privacy Policy to learn how Etsy handles your information.

Information I collect
Every item in this shop is an instant digital download, so I only receive the information Etsy shares with me to complete your order: your name, email address, the items you bought and, where Etsy provides it, your location for tax purposes. I never receive your card details. If you message me, I also have the contents of that conversation.

Why I need your information and how I use it
I rely on these legal bases to collect, use and share your information:
- to provide my services, such as completing your order, answering your questions, sending replacement files and resolving disputes;
- to comply with legal obligations, such as keeping sales records required by tax law;
- my legitimate interests in improving my books and shop and in complying with the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
I don't send marketing messages unless you ask me to, and I never sell your information.

Information sharing and disclosure
I share your information only in limited circumstances:
- with Etsy, as needed to provide my services and comply with the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use;
- if I believe in good faith that it is reasonably necessary to respond to legal process or government requests, enforce my policies, prevent fraud or other illegal activity, or protect the rights and safety of my customers or others;
- if I sell or merge my business, and then only as permitted by law.

Data retention
I keep your information only as long as needed to provide my services and as described in this policy, and as long as the law requires. Canadian tax law generally requires sales records to be kept for six years.

Transfers of information
I am based in Canada, so if you buy from outside Canada your information is processed in Canada. The European Commission recognises Canada as providing adequate protection for personal information handled by businesses.

Your rights
If you live in certain places, including the EU, the UK and Canada, you may have the right to access the information I hold about you, correct it, ask me to delete it, object to or restrict how I use it, and receive it in a portable format. You can also complain to your local data protection authority (in Canada, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada).

How to contact me
I am the data controller of your personal information. For questions or requests about privacy, send me a message through Etsy using Contact shop owner.
