From Tangled to Beautiful
I couldn't help myself from making adorable accessories for my little twin girls. I played around with different designs and colors; making hats, scarves, booties, whatever! People started to love my creations and thus started a shop 20+ years in the making.
I had my twin daughters in June of 2008 and on that day my life changed forever. I no longer wanted to live life in the fast lane, but rather enjoy the little things, like time with my daughters and husband. So I became a stay-at-home mom! This doesn't mean I had all the time in the world, but on times when the girls were napping, or in the evenings I had more opportunity to take out my hook and yarn.
Today my small business, and the addition of our newest girl Mariana, keep me on my toes! I thoroughly enjoy sharing my creative avenue with the world through Etsy. At the heart of the business I sit down with a cup of tea and let my fingers make magic with a crochet hook and soft high quality yarn. Furthermore I am delighted with all the other aspects of the business including corresponding to your requests/questions, designing new product, photographing and creating new visions for my shop, and completing lovely packaging to get hand delivered to my small town USPS post office.
I have to thank my Grandma Curry for teaching me how to crochet as a young girl. As cliche as it sounds I relate my craft to life. Taking a tangled up ball of yarn and making it into something beautiful can be translated into our every day choices and circumstances. Our lives may seem like a disorderly ball of yarn, but we have the choice to turn it into something colorful, soft, and lovely. Grandma you sure have been an example of that!
I didn't think I could make money doing something so fun to me! I enjoy playing with colors and designs, and welcome custom requests. Browse through my shop and I bet you can find something for you, or someone special. :)
