Softhearted Riot Privacy Policy

Softhearted Riot is operated by Richard and Kelly in Gardiner, Montana, United States. Our current launch serves buyers in the United States. This policy explains how we use the personal information we receive when you order from or contact our Etsy shop.

Information we receive
Etsy may provide your name, delivery address, order and transaction details, and an email address or telephone number where provided and needed for order communication or delivery. Your order selections and a usable delivery address are necessary to fulfill a physical order; missing or inaccurate details may prevent delivery. Information you send in Etsy Messages, including questions or product-issue photos, is voluntary. Please provide only what is needed for your request.

Etsy Payments handles payment processing and does not provide sellers with buyers' card numbers or bank account details.

How we use it
We use order and delivery details to carry out your purchase, arrange production and shipping, and provide related support. Where a legal basis is required, these uses rely on performing our contract with you or taking steps at your request before a purchase.

We use relevant correspondence and transaction records to handle complaints, investigate fraud, and establish or defend legal claims, relying on our legitimate interest in operating and protecting the shop where that interest is not overridden by your rights. We retain information required for applicable tax and other legal obligations on that legal basis.

Who receives it
We decide how buyer information is used to run our shop. Printify processes necessary customer-order information on our behalf to arrange production and fulfillment. We share only the information needed to produce, deliver, or resolve a problem with your order with Etsy, Printify, the relevant printing and fulfillment partners, and delivery carriers. We may disclose information where required by law or necessary to handle a legal claim. We do not forward complete private conversations or unrelated personal information to production partners. Product-issue photos shared for support should contain only the information needed to show the problem.

Marketing
We do not sell your personal information or add you to a marketing list simply because you purchased from us. Any future email marketing would require a separate opt-in. You would be able to withdraw that consent and unsubscribe without affecting an existing order. We do not send unsolicited promotions through Etsy Messages.

Retention
We retain information under our control only as long as needed to fulfill orders, provide support, resolve disputes, and meet applicable legal and tax obligations. For order and support records, we consider whether delivery, follow-up support, or a claim remains unresolved. For required business and accounting records, the applicable legal retention requirements determine the period. Etsy and Printify also retain information under their own policies and obligations.

Platforms and processing locations
Etsy operates the marketplace, payment services, and its own cookies and advertising systems. Printify provides fulfillment services through its platform and partners. Their processing is described in their respective privacy policies and, for Printify customer-order data, its Data Processing Terms. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries; a U.S. shop location does not mean all information stays in the United States. Printify's Data Processing Terms describe international-transfer arrangements, including standard contractual clauses where applicable. Contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your order; requests may require coordination with Printify.

Your questions and rights
Contact SoftheartedRiot through Etsy Messages with privacy questions or requests to access, correct, or delete information we hold. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to object to or restrict processing, receive a copy in a portable format, or complain to a data-protection authority. We will handle requests as required by applicable law, including any identity checks and lawful recordkeeping exceptions. Requests concerning Etsy-held account information should also be directed to Etsy; we will coordinate relevant fulfillment-data requests with Printify.
