Hi there! my name is Lorena and I make felt/fabric toys.
I love making stuff, I started making my Barbies clothes and pillows and everything I could, my grandmother taught me when I was like 6 years old, of course my creations were not good at all, but I didn't care much, Barbie needed a bath towel robe and I had a piece of towel fabric and thread, you could often see her in a poorly made garment with very visible stitches.
Then, I think the plush stage started when I was a teen, I made little animals for my friends and family; again, not looking as good as I wanted and some of them went directly to the garbage bin.
I ended up selling some stuff to people that thought I should be charging for what I did just for fun, I was skeptical, I never thought people would like to have something I made with my hands, especially seeing what very talented people made, I felt sooooo small, but my husband encouraged me to start a business, and here I am now.
I am very thankful that I'm able to do what I love and take it as a job, I'm a graphic designer that makes art dolls, that is kind of weird here where I live, but I've got a lot of support, thanks to this thing called internet I've made friends around the world, I love meeting new people, oh and having the opportunity to ship worldwide is amazing, I feel like a little part of me is traveling and making someone happy, it's a wonderful thing, I love doing what I do and will be forever thankful for this, it's a great time to be alive.
