Air is the enemy regarding tarnish. Sterling silver components/findings may tarnish over time.

Be careful with fragrances and limit exposure to direct sunlight.
Avoid leaving your jewelry in the bathroom, as the moisture will speed up the oxidation process.

To keep your Sterling silver jewelry nice and shiny, please use the anti tarnish silver polishing cloth available in my shop.

GOLD FILLED
Gold filled jewelry contain 100 times more real gold than gold plated. It is very durable and tarnish resistant. It can be worn by people with sensitive skin.
Gold filled jewelry is a beautiful and affordable alternative to solid gold.
Clean with soft toothbrush and dish soap. Rinse well, pat dry, and air dry.

STERLING SILVER
We like to use 925 Sterling Silver.
Sterling silver jewelry requires polishing from time to time from oxidation. Oxidation of sterling silver after some time is a normal process.
You can easily clean it using a polishing cloth (available in the shop) for extra shine.

GOLD VERMEIL (pronounced “ver-may”)
925 Sterling Silver which is plated with Gold. Vermeil is a combination of Sterling Silver and Gold.

Every piece of silver jewelry develops a black coating on its surface after some time.
This tarnish is a result of a chemical reaction that occurs when silver comes into contact with air and various substances.

Oils from your skin accumulate on the surface of silver and can predispose it to oxidization.

Tarnishing is a natural process that cannot be prevented, it can be slowed down, but you will still need to clean the tarnished layer at some point with anti tarnish cloth.

Minimize contact of your silver jewelry with substances that can cause tarnishing. This means that you shouldn’t wear your silver when washing up or taking a bath.

And don’t forget to put on your jewelry only after you have applied makeup and perfume.
